Who we are

"Indegen AI" is currently a pre-incorporation trade name under which this site and product are operated. We have not yet completed company registration, so this policy names "Indegen AI" as the data controller and states the governing jurisdiction as [Jurisdiction — to be finalized on incorporation]. We will update this policy with our registered legal entity name and jurisdiction as soon as incorporation is complete.

Who this policy covers

How we handle your data depends on how you interact with us:

• Website visitors and waitlist sign-ups — we decide how this data is used (we are the "controller").
• Studio account holders, the businesses that build assistants with us — we are the controller for account data.
• People who chat with an assistant on a business's website — that business is the controller; we only process the data on its behalf and under its instructions.

If you visit this website or join the waitlist

We collect:

• Information you enter in the waitlist form: name, email address, and optionally company name, company size, and your intended use case — used to respond to your request and contact you about the early access you asked for.
• Bot-verification data from Cloudflare Turnstile — used only to confirm a human is submitting the form.
• Standard technical data (IP address, timestamp, browser type) logged automatically — used to operate and secure the site.
• Analytics data about how the site is used — see "Cookies and analytics".

If you have a Studio account

To provide Studio, we process:

• Your email address, used to sign you in and secure your account.
• The assistant settings and content you create, including any documents or website addresses you add as knowledge for your assistant.
• Records of your activity in Studio and the conversations your assistants handle — used to run the service, give you analytics, and support and improve the product.
• Billing details, if and when we introduce paid plans.

If you interact with an AI assistant powered by Indegen AI

When you chat with an assistant on a business's website, that business is responsible for it and for your data. We run the assistant on its behalf. Send any request about your data to the business whose site you were on, and we will help them respond.

To provide and protect the service, we process the messages in the conversation, a session identifier stored on your device to keep the conversation together, and limited technical data (approximate location, browser type, and a protected form of your IP address) used for security and abuse prevention. We do not use these conversations to train AI models of our own.

How your data is shared

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate — including hosting, infrastructure, AI, email delivery, analytics (Google), and bot-protection (Cloudflare) providers — under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions.

Legal basis for processing

Where the GDPR or a similar law applies and we are the controller, we rely on your consent (for the waitlist form and analytics cookies), performance of a contract (to provide Studio), and our legitimate interests (to secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve the product). You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. Where a business runs an assistant, it is responsible for the legal basis of that processing.

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected: waitlist entries until your request is closed or you ask us to delete them; Studio account data until you delete it or close your account; assistant conversations according to our agreement with the business running the assistant; and technical and security logs for a short period.

International transfers

Our providers may process your data in countries other than your own. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict our processing of your personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority. To exercise any of these, email contact@indegen.ai. If your request concerns a conversation with an assistant on another company's website, contact that company — it controls that data — and we will support it in responding.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses strictly necessary storage for language routing, the on-site chat assistant, the waitlist form's bot-protection, and remembering your cookie choice.

We also use Google Analytics 4 by default to understand how the site is used. It sets the _ga cookies and processes usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, referrer, and device type. We use Google Consent Mode and do not enable advertising features.

You can opt out at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer; your choice is stored in your browser.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our product, providers, or legal obligations change. We'll post the revised policy here with an updated "last updated" date.
